You guys just lost me with the double Dainite.
You can get custom foam inserts from The Martinator for your 1170 if you don't like the pick-n-pluck foam it comes with: https://www.facebook.com/themartinatorishere/app_251458316228?ref=page_internal http://forums.watchuseek.com/f67/martinator-pelican-1170-6-watch-case-review-%5Bphoto-heavy%5D-990743.html
Did someone say Dk. Brown cordovan Cheviot?
I bought a couple of Accuratic winders this summer and they've served me well so far.Reviews:http://forums.watchuseek.com/f423/accuratic-watch-winder-801643.htmlhttp://www.watchfreeks.com/99-reviews/39954-winder-review-accuratic-expandable-automatic-watch-winder.htmlI wanted to spend the least I could for a basic modular winder that would get the job done. Less money spent on winders = moar money to spend on watches.Since we're discussing accessories, I also have...
Tudor BB is the first watch that came to mind. Sure, you can get any number of watches To me, $4 000 for a Tudor is no worse than paying the asking price for a basic Sub with its 3135. Could've sworn that I've read that the finishing on Tudor cases/bracelets is on par with Rolex (aesthetics aside, of course). If that's the case, then the diff. in price BB-Sub is due at least in part to 2824 vs in-house 3135. Since the 2824 can be adjusted to COSC specs, dunno if that...
There's a preowned watch on chrono24 atm that I really want. Seller is a physical store in Spain that does not have a proper e-com website through which you can complete a purchase. The watches they list on chrono24 are shown on their own website though, including the one I want.I exchanged a few e-mails with the seller who informed me that they only accept credit cards for in-store purchases. All others must be paid by wire transfer. I declined to purchase because I...
You mentioned the shop is an on-line shop.Is it a full e-commerce through which you can place online orders, and did you get an e-mail order confirmation etc after your purchase? Or does the shop just show some watches, you e-mail them for a price and they send you wire instructions?I've always been skeptical of using bank wires for purchases because I don't know what sort of buyer protection, if any, there is.I can only suggest calling them to see what's holding up the...
I had always assumed warranties were only valid for the original buyer and weren't transferable, much the way it is for most consumer goods. In that sense, I never understood the added value of having an unexpired legit AD stamped warranty card when buying pre-owned.However, I have noticed that some small boutique brands, i.e. those that specialize in sub $1 000 homages do offer a warranty that's transferable.I can understand how ADs supplying Grays could be frowned upon by...
Can't comment on the warranty question, but don't certain Gray dealers get their stock from ADs? It was my understanding that ADs need to put in minimum orders to carry some lines, often times much more than they can actually sell themselves. They deal with this by selling some stock to Grays (some with, some without stamped warranty papers depending on their arrangements). That would certainly explain how some well known individual (not stores) Gray sellers (ex. DavidSW)...
I think that boutique edition doesn't have the 'cold' feeling the regular one Keith T had included in his list of contenders has. Awesome dial, beautiful watch.
