I searched this thread and didn't find an answer concerning this - how do Filson's wool bags age? I'm interested in buying a wool field bag but have no idea about the material. I have it in canvas but it's too rough for my tastes so I guess wool could be a nice alternative..
°Thanks! While not holding shape doesn't sound too awesome, I don't think it should be too much of an issue for a small field bag. Plus I had a messenger bag in tan canvas and to be honest, the material felt a bit too rough for my tastes when it was rubbing on my back/side.What about aging and water resistance of wool though?
Since this thread is quite massive and search didn't yield the desired results, can anyone advise how wool bags compare to regular waxed canvas ones? Is wool lighter or heavier? More or less rough and stiff?
