It seems that news of the current economic crisis has yet to reach fans of the Prancing Horse -- despite daily reports of closing banks and tightening credit, the folks at Maranello are still enjoying a banner year, and worries that the new Ferrari California's presumed softness would hurt it in the marketplace appear to be unfounded as the retractable-hardtop GT is already sold out until 2011. Currently on display at the Paris Motor Show, the California shares a...
Next Friday is my last day at my company. They gave me two months severance, all PTO about 80 hours. I see it the same way, an opportunity, I've been at my job 2.5 years and it was definitely time to move on. I'm gonna do some traveling and visit friends from college out west for about a month. The recruiter who got me this job called me the other day and I'll probably go see him before I leave and hopefully something might come up when I get back.

EG is at Den... As we've reported time and again, Den, the small ("cozy" in Manhattan real-estate parlance) space next to Odin's East Village store has become a second home for emerging designers or popular indie labels without a boutique to call their own—a guest-room futon in the world of fashion retail, if you will. Previous residences by Tim Hamilton, Robert Geller, and others have given Den the designer bona fides of a much larger operation while offering shoppers...
I dunno, NL fans will tell you no DH makes their league a real "thinking mans" league, but all the pinch hitting and bunting really puts me to sleep. I personally would rather see a good hitter up vs a good pitcher when it counts than a pitcher or some bench guy. (Zambrano is an exception) I think it also makes NL pitchers a bit lazier or at the very least pads their stats. I guess I'm biased because I grew up with an AL team. It also helps the managers and...
I got some on a pair of d'artis last summer....still there today. My mother used to make me rinse my hands in turpentine when I got sap on my hands when I was little. Never tried this on denim though.
I've heard that The Mist was supposed to be released in b&w, but the studio didn't want to do this in the end. The 2nd disk of the dvd set is supposed to contain this version, and apparently it is way better than the color version... I haven't seen either yet but disk 2 is in my queue. I always liked Christine & Stand By Me..
