Vince is intentionally a blank slate - he's the "macguffin" of the show, whose role is to react to the other characters. Seinfeld worked the same way (although "Jerry" was a much more interesting (and funny) creation than "Vince"). The Sasha Grey arc is simply a re-hash of the Mandy Moore arc from many seasons past, i.e. Vince is ready to throw his career away for the sake of a woman. Of course Drama resists Billy's cartoon idea: The very essence of this character...

Attended a Chivas Regal tasting at a local tobacconist last Thursday and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the 18- and 25-year old blends. I usually only drink single malts, but this experience really opened-up my eyes (or, rather, my taste buds).
