Did a bit more modeling in front of the mirror and have come to the conclusion that basically they are just pants with no break. So, slightly shorter than other pairs that I have, but not completely unacceptable or anything.   Still, I'm thinking that I will exchange for the 34L anyway and just have my tailor take those up a bit to a quarter break. That will probably be safest.   Thanks everyone.
Hmm ok, I'll return and try the 34L. Thanks!
Hi,   I'm trying to go for the look represented here:   http://www.gq.com/style/wear-it-now/201006/xavier-samuel-models-cotton-suits-under-four-hundred-dollars#slide=1   I ordered a similar suit a week ago or so and it just arrived yesterday:   http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=85424&vid=1&pid=235895002   The jacket fits well but I'm a little concerned about the pants. I ordered 32L in spite of the fact that I'm 6'2" because I like...
Thanks again everyone. I decided to go ahead and order the second bluefly suit: http://www.bluefly.com/Joseph-Abboud-navy-wool-two-button-suit-with-flat-front-pants/p/320925601/detail.fly since it is within my budget for a single suit. It seems like a pretty good deal for a garment that is at least partially canvassed according to the description. It may only be "mediocre," but as I said it's within my budget and I suspect I will be easier to please than many on here....
Yeah, I discovered that epic hierarchy thread earlier this afternoon. Really, that thing is like some kind of crowning achievement. It's like US News and World Report College Rankings for suits.     I've gotta say though, that I suspect I may be easier to please than most since I've always thought that my Hugo Boss suits have looked awesome. Only issue has been durability after a few dry cleanings, but from what I've been able to gather this afternoon that has...
Adam, thanks for the additional thoughts. There is a Nordstrom Rack fairly close to me so I might venture up that way tomorrow to see if I can find some lower-priced bargains. So that's a pretty good suggestion imo.   Here's another example of something else I've had my eye on:   http://www.bluefly.com/Jack-Victor-navy-Loro-Piana-super-120s-wool-two-button-suit-with-flat-front-pants/p/319518803/detail.fly   I've never worn Jack Victor, but I like the look of...
Yeah...David, thanks for replying. But if you don't have some affiliation with that company as apollotrader suggested, then you just have a really odd way of speaking. Like you eat, sleep, and breathe marketing lingo or something. I mean, what is this supposed to mean anyway: "enormous guarantees of quality and satisfaction that ebay can't touch"? If I don't like the ebay suit, I'll return it as per the seller's return policy. If I don't like whatever suit I get from...
Just as further clarification: I'm looking for a decent-quality suit in charcoal or navy to replace my previous go-to suits in these colors, which are unfortunately falling apart. I'd like to spend somewhere in the $300-$400 range. I saw this on ebay however and it got me thinking that it might not be a half-bad choice if it really is the half-canvassed ltd model.
Hi,   I have my eye on this suit on ebay:   http://www.ebay.com/itm/190805667175?ssPageName=STRK:MEBOFFX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1427.l2649   I know it's not mainline HF, but my question is, is this the half-canvassed LTD? Or some other completely fused "sub-brand" of HF?   Thanks!   EDIT: And as a follow-up question: is it a good buy at $260 buy-it-now?
