Thanks for your input on the sizing!     In answer to your curiosity, it was Harrods and I was in there to pick up something specific from a different (non-clothing) department before making a flight out of London.  I noticed the sweater as I was battling through the crowds on my way out.  Then I noticed the price reduction - RRP of £649 down to £149 (I'd never have paid the RRP).  They only had the two left and I figured at that price I might as well pick them both up...
Thanks for your opinion, I had noted myself that the sleeves on the medium are a touch long.  I really have no experience of wool clothing (other than suits of course) but I assume that the garment will stretch out a bit over time?   The pictures aren't great, I know, but the elbow patch on the medium isn't actually all that different from the small.  The patches go from the elbow quite far down the forearm.
Hi guys,   Picked up a PRL cashmere sweater at very deep discount earlier today.  They only had two left, one in small and one in medium.  I didn't have time to try on in store and since they were so cheap I bought both - I'll return one tomorrow.   The thing is, not having much experience with knitwear, I've no idea which one to keep.  Both seem to fit roughly the same and due to the construction, they both have plenty of stretch in the fabric.  One of my...
Thanks for all the responses!
Hi guys, I've wanted a pair of double monks for a while and quite like the look of the AS Ramsey. Never having had AS before, can anyone comment on the quality of the exclusive range in general and the Ramsey in particular?  I'm most interested in upper leather quality, and by quality I mean it's ability to take conditioner and polish and remain supple.     Having only recently started buying 'good' shoes I don't want to end up with nasty leather.  For the last...
Hi guys, wanted to buy a trench for quite a while and finally got round to buying an Aquascutum Corby single breasted coat. Decided to go for the sngle as I'll be wearing it open at least as much as closed and didn't want too much material flapping around. Anyway, I was torn between a 38 or 40 in size - 38 was a more fitted look but felt maybe a little restrictive around the shoulders when worn with a suit jacket underneath.   Again, I'll probably wear it both...
Hi guys,   sorry to hijack an old threat but my account is fairly new and it still won't let me to create new topics.   wanted to buy a trench for quite a while and final got round up anAquascutum Corby single breasted coat. Decided to go for the sngle as ill be wearing it open at least as much as closed and I'm not cnvined that I'd be able to pull off a double breasted as I'm only 5'8"!   Anyway, I was torn between a 38 or 40 in size - 38 was a more fitted...
Sorry to slightly jack the thread but for some reason it won't let me create new threads - because I'm new? Anyway, sticking with suits, is it possible to pick up a RL purple Label suit jacket on its own or do they only come in the set? Reason I asked is that I picked up a pair of the trousers for a steal but would like a jacket to go with it.
Picked up a pair of RL Purple Label (they're definitely genuine) from a thrift shop today for £30. Brand new and unworn. Now I just need to keep my eyes open for a matching jacket and I'm good to go!
That's really nice. Do you bother to keep the moonphase in synch or just let it run however?
