Are you sure about this? Rancourt makes a lot of their other MiM stuff. I've actually ordered these now, is highland on par with quality and construction?I was also hoping the leather would be the same brown chromexcel as the rancourts, could I be mistaken?
Well, those of you who remember me might wonder how my order ended up. After ordering the Eastland Haspwell and Eastland Yarmouth (Rancourtx2) with overnight shipping to NYC my fathers hotel refused to accept the delivery "because the package was late". They could not explain how or why this happened to him later. Due to strict UPS policies the shoes were sent back to Gilt, and I have to wait for them to get back in stock to order them again. It's been a really frustrating...
Awesome, enjoy them good sir. Great, I ended up ordering them and a pair of Eastland Yarmouth Boat Shoes (also Rancourt I presume) in loden with a tan collar: http://www.gilt.com/sale/men/eastland-8947/product/1056504909-eastland-made-in-maine-yarmouth-boat-shoes Both the Haspwell and the Yarmouth were on sale at Gilt, so I feel pretty satisfied at $400 for my summer shoedrobe. I would of preferred to have bought from Rancourt directly, that will have to wait until I...
Saved by the bell!   I read on reddit that these Eastland MiM are in fact made by rancourt! A pinch penny in tan! Finally.   http://www.eastlandshoe.com/product/mens+harpswell+usa+penny+loafer.do   I would be very happy if someone could confirm this, and even happier if someone could confirm the leather used.   Thanks!
Does the AE Kenwood Saddle really look like this in reality?   [[SPOILER]] I'm looking for a tan loafer and the Kenwood looks absolutely great in this picture. However, I haven't been able to find many in action shots. I haven't been able to find out much info on the leather / construction either. Is this picture a cordovan version? I read on AE that the regular Kenwood is corrected grain, which kind of puts me off as well.
Well I've give it a lot of effort but I'm letting the dream of a tan / whiskey colored pinched or top or full penny go as their seem to be no decently priced options on the market. I originally wanted a versatile, dressier loafer but I've decided to take a step further down casual lane towards beefrolls. As I've posted before I'm in a time crunch and therefore can't wait to have a shoe MTO. I absolutely LOVE tan / whiskey colored calfskin and to some extent shell cordovan...
Does anyone have any information on this shoe? Maker, construction, other pics etc.   http://www.barneys.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-BNY-Site/default/Product-Show?pid=503231000
Hey guys, kudos on the great thread you have going for you. Tons of inspiration all around!   I have fallen in love with the Alden LHS pictured here: http://www.harrisonlimited.com/harrison_footwear/alden-leisure-hand-sewn-penny-loafer-in-burnished-tan/   Sadly, this is really stretching my budget, so much so that it would most certainly be unwise of me to purchase them. My question is therefore if I've missed a retailer that carries them at a lower price, and if not...
Looking to get a pair of penny loafers next week in NYC, with a very specific set of attributes. If they can be delivered to NYC before wednesday that works too.   These are the pairs I want, but for either stocking or price reasons are not available. Can somebody find me the next best thing? I've probably spent 30 hours searching back and forth and I'm worried I'll end up with no shoes at all if I don't make my decision soon enough.    Budget: Max $400, preferably...
Thanks for the good luck wishes, I guess they are. It would all be possible if BB had just stocked the tan Rancourt though so I'm counting myself a bit unlucky. Since I'm actually in Sweden, the Carmina loafers are around $600 from Skoaktiebolaget ;) Regardless, I prefer a lighter tan color.
