Gents,   So I ordered a made-to-measure suit and it's 90% perfect except the upper thigh/crotch area is just a bit too tight to the point where I have to suck in just a bit to button the trousers and can't really squat.   So this raises my question: If I ask the company to send me a few feet of extra material, can a tailor theoretically make this kind of alteration if the material is available? --- Just trying to see because if it's possible I can just get a bit extra...
Hello Gents,   As the title states, have any of you had any experience wearing a cutaway spread collar with no tie? --- Does it work?   I'm less concerned about the aesthetics and more so having it work with under a  blazer. IE fitting properly within the jacket collar.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Gents,   Hope everyone is doing well. --- Long story short, I'm looking for a vintage-esque boot that may be akin to the pictures below. -- Looks like Redford has some kind of motorcyle boot on or maybe even a cowboy boot. David Crosby seems to have some kind of hybrid boot as well. I'm looking for an ankle boot, or cowboy boot kind of look, without an obnoxious heel that can be worn with jeans in most situations, or even out in the country. --- Anybody have any ideas on...
Comrade,   Can't say I wouldn't mind it!   ----Muslinski,   Thank You for the reccomendation but that looks a bit darker than what I had in mind.   I came across this from J Crew:   http://www.jcrew.com/mens_category/outerwear/topcoats/PRDOVR~05660/05660.jsp?color_name=saddle   Looks pretty close to what I'm looking for, but I'd have to get a better feel for the color. It's called "saddle" and looks a bit on the khaki-er side of things, but relatively close....
Good Evening Boys,   So I'm looking for a camel coat this winter.----- However, I'm a bit picky and frustrated in finding any jackets that fit the criteria I'm looking for, so I was hoping somebody out there might be able to steer me in the right direction.   I'm open to a pea coat or slightly longer, but not a full overcoat. ---- Ideally, I would like this to be slightly longer than a pea coat, or realistically a shorter overcoat. Understanding the limitations of...
Hey guys,   So yeah basically I'm looking for an Eames Lounge replica, within the 500-600 price range.... and clearly understand the nature of buying a replica and the risk that comes along with it.  Just as others have stated, I can't justify spending thousands on a chair so I've found this on ebay for a decent price and looks like decent quality... but I'm just hesitant to make the plunge.   There's a solid return policy so hopefully it works out but I'm just curious...
Gentleman,   I'm looking for a pair of dress oxfords with a modern, sleek, profile. I'm looking for something akin to a Magnanni or a To Boot New York kind of look. But the kicker is, these shoes are slightly out of my price range. I'm looking to spend about in the $300 range and I understand the price tag that goes with a pair of well constructed, potentially Goodyear welted or bespoke type of shoe. I know there are a few Magnanni styles floating around on Nordstrom in...
OK thanks guys... but more specifically: What can I convey to the tailor in terms of specifications and dimensions? How can I quantify this? Meaning, is there a specific dimension that I can bring to my tailor for bringing in the lower leg taper or even possibly a circumfrence of the leg hole opening? I don't mean to go overboard here but I'd just prefer to be more precise so that way I can reproduce this measurement on other pants, as opposed to just going to the tailor...
Hello Gents,   So in my quest for uncovering the secret to perfect fitting trousers, I've come to a bit of a roadblock. I've found dress pants that are tapered through the leg and undoubtedly "slim", but I'm having some issues with the finish and leg opening on my pants. So regarding this, I have a few questions. The first being: Can pants be tailored in this area? IE the taper below the knee/around the calf area and the leg opening? If So, how does one go about...
Thanks for all the responses, gentleman. Much appreciated. I'm kind of digging these: http://shop.vans.com/catalog/Vans/en_US/style/sfo.html?categoryId=65121&colorCode=SFO7ES   Or just might spring and finally get the pair of allen edmonds suede neumoks I've always lusted over.... or probably not because that would probably be a poor choice of shoe for such a leisurely activity.. hahha ANYWAY..   No offense but I really hope Kai is half kidding with those choices...
