Maybe I am just an obstinate kinda guy, but I don't think it's fair for her complete takeover every aspect of OUR wedding. I think that makes for a bad precedent and in life you can't always get what you want. I am all about compromise, but I told before i proposed and after she is not getting total carte blanche of the weddding planning

i want each of my 3 groomsman to wear a charcoal grey suit and i will pick out the shirt and tie combo as part of my groomsmen's gift. maybe one person wears a solid purple tie and blue contrast collar shirt; another wears burgundy tie maybe with a paisely pocket square...etc. don't really have a specific motif yet
  thanks for the encouragement brother
As i get further and further into this wedding planning i am realizing how much i hate the idea of both the groomsmen and bridesmaids wearing the same dress and suit. my fiancee is putting up a fair bit of resistance to me pursuing this unorthodox measure, but i would appreciate any help the forum can give in the form of picture examples of not so matchy matchy groomsmen suit execution. i will be wearing a charcoal grey 3 piece via suit supply. i go in for measurement...
Thank you for taking the time to respond. I will definitely try to make it up to neimans this saturday. If you should happen to be there feel free to say hi and give me a secret styleforum tap on the shoulder
LOL 3-4
I just figured it would be a great investment and i've been talking to my fiancee about how much of a pain in the ass it is to get a decent fitting suit when you're the average size of a nfl outside linebacker (6'3 235-240).   i saw a made to measure thread on this forum a while back and have been obsessed with the notion of it ever since
