I have a 34" chest, 5'4"/130 lbs.   I took some pictures of the Gap cropped peacoat (navy) and the classic peacoat (charcoal) both x-small.  You can see the center vent on the classic peacoat flaring out.   Any comments on the fit otherwise?  The jean pockets hang low but I can tell you the cropped peacoat doesn't quite cover my entire rear while the classic peacoat does.   Measurements are: • Gap cropped peacoat, xs:   • chest p2p: 20 3/8"   • Sleeve (from shoulder...
Thanks for the pics and the measurements!  You saved me from ordering all three of those coats in those same exact sizes.   I'm with you on the big caboose: center vent jackets also flare on me too!

You'll be fine with either a black or dark brown shoe--not walnut, not chili, not burgundy (although all of these colors will make fine third or fourth pairs of shoes).   If you want...
What's your suit situation like right now: Do you already have a suit? How often do you plan on wearing it? What are you wearing the suit for? What's your budget? (It sounds like $500 with tailoring)   How well do you know what a properly fitted suit should feel like and look like?  You may think you're around a 36S but you might be smaller than that. Most salesmen will tell you that you look good in whatever coat you put on. If they immediately...
