I've said many times that I'm happy for Elite Suits to remain a smaller niche retailer. There are already plenty of flashy websites with pretty pictures that will sell you a cheap mass produced machine sewn factory made fused canvas suits at a massive markup. It's not a market I really want to compete in, Rather than put huge amounts of money into massive marketing campaigns we prefer to put our money into making a better suit and grow slowly by letting customers see how...
Had the rare opportunity of seeing one of our Clissolds Suits in our "Almost Bespoke" tailoring before it was delivered to the customer.     A lot more pictures and details about this suit are available HERE   As I've said before customers who buy one of our specialist bespoke quality suits are more likely to buy again than any other customer once they see the value they can get for their suiting dollar. This customer picked up his suit and emailed me the next day...
You can download everything you need to place your order in advance from HERE  this way you can have everything ready, place your order and simply send me the completed order form I don't have anyone in Surry Hills. I see Maher Haddad for all my tailoring needs, He's not cheap but he does a good job. Take a pen and paper with you as he will give you more information about what needs to be done for the suit to fit your body shape. You will find him at M&R Tailors &...
I'm not sure where to even start on this. It raises a number of issues and the reply will be lengthy but if you take a couple of minutes to read it you will have a better understanding of the suit industry today and I can tell you now it's not a pretty picture. Most of the MTM suit retailers today are little more than order takers for the big Asian or Eastern European suit factories. They get your order and send your measurements to the factory who supply everything,...
Had a customer buy another suit from one of those places that will come to your home or office and measure you for a MTM suit. I have said many times that there isn't that much advantage in this process. All they do is get a set of measurements and send them to one of the big Asian suit factories where they machine make a cheap suit to a standard block pattern. The fit isn't better but what they will usually do is include alterations in the purchase price.   Have a look...
1.the rise of the trousers will depend on the outseam and crotch measurements you supply 2. We will send the trousers back with your order which takes 3-4 weeks. However, trousers are easy to measure yourself. If you go to the site and send me a message I can send you the measuring instructions. 3. We send everything back via international courier with tracking. 4. Yes we can do side tabs
1. I have made a number of posts on the blog on how to ensure accurate measurements It's worth the time to thoroughly read all of them 2. The differences between the "almost bespoke" and the "rockstars & royalty" packages won't show up in pictures. It's a matter of the perceived quality of the materials used in construction. We import the canvas from England that's been specifically designed for today's more lightweight wools and made by a company that has been making suit...
One other method of getting a great fitting suit is to post your best fitting suit to our Shanghai office. While there is postage (one US based customer told me it cost around $60) you only have to do it once and then we have your measurements on file.   You can ask the tailors to simply replicate the size or, if necessary, you can tweak the measurements a little, Take half an inch of the sleeves or perhaps you have put on a little weight since you bought it and want the...
Any errors are the responsibility of Elite Suits already under our No Worries Guarantee. If the suit simply doesn't fit we will pay for alterations or have the suit remade. If the measurements supplied to us were wrong it doesn't matter as the guarantee still applies. You are right though. You're not going to get that first suit exactly right no matter where you buy it from. However, as I said above we don't have too many problems and catch the majority of major...
Very true but a suit made from world class fabric and made by a skilled and experienced tailor can usually be altered to fit if necessary and it still remains a high quality suit. A cheap machine sewn factory made fused suit is always going to be a cheap suit no matter what you do to it
