Cross post from Rock Your Socks: MTO Alfred Sargent whiskey/black saddle shoes.
I did. I couldn't find it on site & haven't heard back yet.
I wrote to Carmina about the availability of ruby shell cordovan, and was told that they "have style 80105 , Oxford toecap punched , in Ruby shell cordovan" available (though not on the website). A little Googling brought up this pic from a Japanese website:       Anyone know what last that is?
I'm thinking about ordering my 1st pair. I'd like a scotchgrain NST. I get the impression that the usual last for that shoe would be the Peter or New Peter. Would it be heretical or hideous to go with the 3636 or Budapest last?
Hi, Charlie.   My new buckles arrived early last week, and I was finally able to sign for them at the post office on Thursday. They're beautiful and so substantial! I had never realized how flimsy the hardware on my belts was. Thanks again (& thanks to Dawn, too).   Cheers,   Nick
I've never bought from them, but I've heard good things about the Shoe Mart's customer service as an Alden dealer. I think they do free shipping & returns, so you could try shoes w/o obligation.   http://www.theshoemart.com/alden-shoes/bt-ald.html
^^^ http://www.carmina.telemaco.es/articulo.asp?idarticulo=3465222   Check the Carmina Porn link for those linked above & others.   http://www.bespoke-england.co.uk/search?q=boot&go.x=0&go.y=0&go=Go   Those may be more than you want to spend.   http://www.upper-shoes.com/   Upper Shoes has both C&J Somervilles in funky colors & Edward Greens.   I don't own any of those boots, but I like to ogle them. Good luck. Report back.
Once again, wow! The dark-dark combo isn't to my taste, but those look like excellent shoes. What company made them?

Thanks for the tip. This is the kind of homework that I enjoy.
