It's a drop 6, so 36W. Are you normally a 42L? Its surprising that it would be so big in the waist given the Fitzgerald cut is BB's slim line. I am a 40 typically (6'1, 170lbs) and am considering buying a 40L from Ruelala. The Fitzgerald cuts that I've tried in stores fit nicely and I need a new navy suit. But your experience with the fit gives me pause. How are the other aspects? Fabric? Finishing?
I am considering picking up an Amalgam cardigan. There is little info on the forum about this line. What are the pros / cons of thsr Amalgam versus the Stark? For reference I am 6'1 and weigh about 165 lbs, relatively slim build and usually an M in sweaters.
Nice article. These look nice. Has anyone tried yet who can comment on the fit?
I just purchased some LVC 1947 off the internet. I am normally a 32 waist. I prefer a slim fit but not skinny. The prevailing wisdom on this and other forums seemed to be size up 1 or 2 sizes with LVC 1947. However, I went TTS and ordered a 32 waist size. When the jeans arrived, they were too tight to button up fully and the thighs were skin tight. I wore them for half a day and it was really uncomfortable. Then I soaked them in the bathtub while wearing the jeans in...
I purchased two Steven Alan short sleeve shirts at a sample sale yesterday. One was the single needle and the other was the reverse seam. They were $40 apiece, 70% off their normal retail price. I'm usually an "M" shirt size but these ones fit really big so I sized down to "S". I was quite surprised because I'm an "M" 99% of the time (6'1, 170 lbs, 15.5" neck, 40 suit size).   The "S" fit me very nicely however. The reverse seam is slimmer and nicely tailored, while...
Thanks! I just got back from my tailor and he will be:   - suppressing the waist a little, from the under arm seams - narrowing trouser inseam by 1" (I am usually a drop 7-8, but this suit is drop 6) - shortening cuffs by 1/4" so it falls right to the wrist bone (the shirt in the first pics is a tad long, but normally the jacket covers all but a trace of cuff)   When he finishes that work (and I post the pics), I will see what he says about lengthening it 1/2".    Any...
Here are a few more pics of my new suit, this time in better lighting. The suit has not been pressed yet. I am intending to use it for my wedding in a couple months.   Again, my plan is to shorten the sleeves about 1/4" (it currently falls a bit past the wrist joint). I'd also like advice on whether the trousers could be narrowed a little, and the best way to achieve some more waist suppression. I am looking for a trim, sleek look, but not too fashion forward. Of...
I've been following this forum avidly for many weeks now. I just picked up a new suit for my wedding and wanted an honest critique. I apologise for the low res / grainy pics - iPhone, indoors, etc. I can try to post some better pics soon, but in the meantime would love some feedback.    Definitely, I plan to remove 1/4" off the left cuff and about 1/8" off the right. I like a slim cropped fit, and am also wondering about a bit more waste suppression and potentially...
Crocs should never ever be worn outside of the house. That said, they are actually quite nice inside house and especially right after getting out of the shower. But only if you live alone or have a very safe marriage.
Brush teeth, get in shower. On shaving days (3/week), apply exfoliating scrub to my face. Shampoo, wash body. Then rinse off scrub. Apply homemade shaving lube, lather up with brush, shave. Rinse off and dry up. Apply aftershave. Put on deodorant and cologne. Get dressed. Apply facial moisturizer with SPF. On non-shaving days, just wash face and body. Then apply moisturizer immediately after drying up.   If I didn't sleep well, then also add eye cream and Clarin's...
