Looking back on this post, I've written way more than I planned to, and way more than you asked about. Oh well. As far as picking out frames, follow the advice of the people who are telling you to take your time. It might feel stupid to try on a few dozen different frames, but you'll be wearing them most of the day for years. Get something that you like, and that looks good on you. If you have a friend whose opinion you trust, bring him or her along. The thickness...
Was browsing STP today, noticed that their Gloverall duffles are on sale. They're listed around $225, but will come down to about $150 (and free shipping) today with the current STP coupon code. http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/,...t-For-Men.html http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/,...-Tall-Men.html

I'm not an expert, but here's my experience. I own one AE belt and three LGC belts. Each LGC belt...

Kiya, I'm looking at either picking up the remaining IH 1634 size 34 from Giles, or picking up the 9634 33 or 34 from you. I have a 634S in size 33 that was very snug when I first started wearing it, but which now fits very well; what size 9634 would you recommend? Presumably you'll tell me I should stay clear of the 1634 size 34 In addition to that, a SC 1947, and an IH 461, are there other jeans you'd recommend for a guy who doesn't cuff and who usually pairs his...
They break in enough to be semi-comfortable after half a dozen wearings, and then you have what are, for the price, my favorite pair of casual boots. It was worth it for me, but I can't speak for you.
My advice would be to use a black cream polish and a lot of care/time, perhaps running over the stitching with neutral cream ahead of time and then avoiding it with the black cream. Personally, I've just been avoiding the stitching on my (cherry) GTs, but coming right up next to it, because even neutral cream tends to pull up some of the pigment already on the shoe, and that would then spread onto the stitches. They're a bit of a pain to polish, honestly. I hope this...
Can anyone explain to me the difference in color between the #6 shell cordovan and dark cognac shell colors? I'm having a hard time given that the lighting seems to be different in the pictures on the official site, and I've never seen either in person. I think I might be about to part with the most money I've ever spent on boots. Ron, if I told you I wear an 11D in an Alden Plaza and most AEs, what would you suggest for your balmoral boots? Have you had those...

Either I've gotten used to and ignore the pain, the boots have...
I used to wear untucked flannel-textured plain or (small) herringbone shirts over tucked in colored t-shirts all the time back in college. I'd usually leave the front of the overshirt unbuttoned, but it gave you some choices temperature-wise. I never thought of it as particularly stylish, of course, and the notion of doing it with another collared shirt (and a tie!) would have seemed ludicrous to me. This guy pulls it off better than I'd have imagined anyone would.
