Staple blue tie for sale: Duchamp 3 1/2 x 59" in like new condition. Definitely one of their more conservative offerings. Construction is nice and thick and ties a great knot. Made in the UK. $35 > NOW $30 Shipping is $10 to Canada/CONUS for any number of ties.
Up for sale is a Pal Zileri suit in brown 40R. This Made in Italy suit is from their main line and not from the cheaper Lab or Concept lines. This slim and modern 50 Drop 8 suit is a beautiful 50/50 wool/mohair, fabric is from renown mohair and cashmere specialist Fratelli Tallia Defino and is woven in Italy. The suit is very lightweight and well suited even to the hottest summer. The cut of this suit is nice and tailored. See measurements. The Suit has tons of...
With all due respect to the list above, lately I'm fond of Town on Elgin St Benny's Bistro for a real European light lunch at a reasonable price. It's behind The French Baker I like Play a lot more than Beckta (same owner) Jean Albert for the best hole in the wall fried chicken shack 4th Ave Wine bar
Up for sale is a hard to come by Brooks Brothers Black Fleece Suit (BBBF) in a true staple gray color. Size is BB3, which BB calls a 42R, but I feel it's more of a 40R, see actual measurements below. Will work as a slim 42R though. Suit is fully lined and better for fall/winer/spring. Suit has tons of handwork, pick stitching, famous BBBF lining, beautiful buttons and surgeons cuffs. Extra handwork include locker loop on jacket and pants. The jacket is 3 roll 2, dual...
I have for sale a pair of Hugo Boss Orange Label Jeans in size 34/32, labelled "Regular Fit". These are very dark wash, almost black in color. Great Orange detailing in the stitching and in the front inner pocket.. Engraved Rivets and buttons, and leather rear waist patch. Very comfortable weight in year round weather. I bought these at Bloomingdale in May 2011 and wore them just once, these are in Like New condition. They are just a bit to tight for me. Measurements...
I have for sale two pairs of Ermenegildo Zegna pants, in size 34 and 36. 1) First pair is the size 34 brown jeans, flat front and no cuffs. Made in Italy! Great detailing including labelled inner waistband, engraved rivets and buttons all around, and leather patch on the rear waist. Lighter weight for jeans and would be very comfortable in year round weather. Measurements as listed. I do have to be honest and say that I bought these as 'NWT' from this board, but to my...
Sadly I know what you mean about selection in Ottawa. I score the occasional deal at the Bay in Rideau, when they have their end of season 50% off the already reduced pricing, especially good for shirts. Same stacked discounting stratgeu at Banana Republic for some causal wear. Harry's is good when they have their end of season sales on ties, pick up a few Zegna and Canali for $40-50. Consistently best pricing during their sales would have to be at E.R. Fisher. Got...
The potential is there. If one shirt is -0.5" and the next is +0.5" from the same supplied measurement. That is a potential difference of 1" in diameter and 2" in circumference from one shirt to the next. And after I sent in pics, they claimed it is normal tolerance.
Wow. I didn't know my post who bring out the fanboys. But in my defense, I think some of you misread my post. It wasn't meant as a bash, but a summary of my experiences. Maybe I wasn't clear in my post but 1) Actually I did follow their instructions, and the results were counter to what it should be on the whole "slim fit" vs "normal fit" If I followed their instructions and chose "normal fit" they would ignore my bicep measurement. If I went against their...
I'm done with Moderntailor. At first, I was an enthusiastic customer. I ordered my test shirt and submitted measurements from my best fitting shirt. When it arrived, it was mostly perfect, except the bicep measurement was a little larger than my supplied measurements. Also the white test shirt's fabric was pretty crappy, it was cheap feeling and too thin to wear without looking like a waiter at a cheap restaurant. But it was $20,and the aim was to get my...
