Not sure where you can try but for sizing, I wear 9D on 5 last (Strand) in AE and 8.5D on 744/721. The 8.5D 744/721 has a wider toe cap also.
Sorry on not being clear. Both the 744 and 721 are on the same last. I meant they use a different last (a slimmer one) than the regular 1000 mile boots.
I have both the 721 and 744 and for some reason, 744's color is richer and the leather feel better too. The cap toe of the 744 is also easier to wear than the 721. Btw, they are both made by Allen Edmonds using the same last and the shape is slimmer than the normal 1000 mile boots.
Correction from earlier post. I am selling my #85 True Blue Silk at what I paid for + actual shipping. It is 32 slim (not 33). PM me if you are interested. Here is the link to the jeans: https://www.weargustin.com/campaigns/326

No, the one on ebay is not mine. But I did put the Krause on the marketplace because the 1000 mile boots run about half size larger than the other AE that I have.
A quick comparison between the Krause (size 9) and LT721 Shell (size 8.5). Btw, the Krause is on sales in the marketplace. Size is a bit too big for me.
I am putting a pair of Wolverine Krause boots in Russet Brown for sale. These are the special edition that made with Rich Horween Dublin Leather with an original retail price of $550. They are in size 9D. I have worn these less than 5 times and they are in very good condition. They are factory second but I cannot find anything wrong with them. I am selling because the size is about half a size larger than my other shoes. The boots come with the original box. Please see...
Just want to show the difference between the Russet Brown Krause Boots (size 9) and the 721 LTD Boots (size 8.5) side by side. The Krause is much softer but the shell looks really nice.
I think Katahdin is more similar to RW Iron Ranger. I have my Katahdin for three years now and if you ask me to pick today, I will go for the RW if you don't mind the price different. I prefer the lower profile toe box of the RW over Katahdin.
