Disregard my three, as I'm just beginning to put together a reasonable shoe collection:

1) Walnut colored plain-toe loafers
2) Don't have any others at the moment
I'm looking for button downs that you can wear untucked without them hanging down way past your grundel.

I'm sure other people are interested in the same thing, so I made this a thread rather than just asking it in the thread up top.

Labels like to advertise when their clothes are handmade. Rag & Bone and Band of Outsiders come to mind. Both like to point out their relationship with Martin Greenfield Clothiers, for instance, which makes a lot of their suits by hand. I'm always curious to know how much of a difference that makes.

First off, beyond increasing the labor costs and putting a premium on clothes, what value does handmaking clothing add to the clothes themselves? Do they drape significantly better? Do the seams last that much longer? If you start with a high-quality fabric, does it matter if it's sewn together by hand or not?

Second, if clothes aren't handmade, then how are they made? I presume in a factory, but if anyone happens to know exactly what that means then please enlighten me. For example, are J. Crew's chinos put together by machines in a factory in China somewhere? It seems more likely that their chinos are put together by actual people using their hands (though still in a factory in China).

hey sorry for making a thread about one specific person. i try to refrain usually but i can't think where to post this.

i really like his style and fit of tshirts.

e.g. this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9_n8jakvWU&ob=av2e

but i have no idea where he gets his stuff from or where i could get simlar stuff, e.g. the hooded waistcoat looks pretty nice.

in terms of his fitted Tshirts,e verything i seem to find is poor fit or too tight. his seems to be tight around the arms but in terms of the chest, it doesn't grip too much and it seems fairly loose at the bottom.

any advice muchos appreciated. x

Hey guys, I'm looking to throw together this outfit idea and I'd like to make it unique. One of the things I'm looking for is basically a long sleeve shirt that fits me properly (I'm a slim, average height guy) but runs a little longer- sort of like a smock or overcoat version of a shirt.

Basically a button-up shirt that I can wear like a really thin overcoat, or a thin lab coat, that hits somewhere between my hip and my knee.

I don't know if this type of shirt exists for men, it's a little on the feminine side, but that's kind of the point. Can anyone help me out?

probably my favorite brand of shoes, in addition to Alden and Paul Smith

All of mine are based on the same style, heavy brogue with double sole. These are some serious shit kickers, heavy, but very comfortable and need no break in. Looks great with jeans, not really suitable for trousers unless it's something textured like tweed or flannel.

Sizing wise, they run very TTS. Despite them looking large they dont fit large at all imo.

Navy brogues from Present in london, 100% same as the Junya Watanabe collab which cost 2x

Forest Green brogue from Present London. With dainite sole

White brogue from Present London, dainite sole

Acorn Antique from pediwear, havent even worn them yet!

Japan only edition Paul Smith collab brogue boot (basically the Stow boot with dainite sole in a PS only color leather and addtl brogueing detail that the normal Stow doesnt have), dainite sole

anyone else a fan?
