Styleforum's Winter Getaway (Jeans & Trousers)
My father always told me to pack extra pants. I’m not sure why, but it’s not a bad rule of thumb. Rich textures and colors aren’t just for shirts and sweaters, they can extend to the pants as well (Epaulet trousers, $235). Simply packing a pair of jeans and another pair of non-denim trousers that will get you into those pesky restaurants (yes, I’m being facetious) will suffice. Nudie used to be a favorite on Styleforum – the Slim Jim Organic Brown Indigo was the original “slim” model, but it seems like a straight leg model in today’s denim landscape, ($235 and $275).
Warning about the following recommendations - buying pants for a woman is expert level – do not attempt without proper training and preparation, especially if you are going with this high rise, bright blue number (Wood Wood Sannah Pants). A little safer are these Rag&Bone skinny jeans ($176).
Of course, you should cinch up those pants. Pants with belt loops demand belts. Equus leather belts are pretty close to being best in class. The raised and lined belt, (£228), are their tour de force – completely hand sewn by a single artisan, with a brass, nickel, or sterling silver buckle. The West End, (£48), is a more quotidian version that still beats most of what you can find on the market. And their belts are made specifically for you. - Styleforum's Winter Getaway (Pullovers)
